Affiliate Terms
Last updated: 4 November 2026
These Affiliate Terms apply if you register for the SpotMyPixel affiliate program. They supplement the Terms of Service. If they conflict on commission mechanics, these Affiliate Terms control for that topic. The operator is identified in the Terms.
Eligibility
You can join as an individual or on behalf of a company. You must be at least 18 years old and live in (or, for a company, be registered in) an EU member state, Norway, Liechtenstein, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. To join you confirm your email address, then give your country, whether you are registering as a company, the company name and VAT number if it has one, confirm your age, and accept these Affiliate Terms and the Privacy Policy. EU VAT numbers are checked in the EU VIES system; a number VIES reports as invalid is not accepted. If VIES is temporarily unavailable your registration still completes and the number is checked again automatically.
You do not give bank or identity details when you join. Before we can pay you, Stripe, our payments provider, verifies your identity and bank account on its own pages (see Payouts). We may refuse or end participation where required by sanctions, anti-fraud or anti-money-laundering rules, or where Stripe cannot verify you.
An affiliate account does not authorise you to buy pixels from a blocked location. Geographic eligibility for purchases is separate and is described in the Terms.
Promoting to customers in other countries
Your own country does not limit where your referred customers may be. You may refer customers located in any country, US state or other jurisdiction where SpotMyPixel purchases are enabled at the time of the purchase, including the United States. Whether a referred customer can buy is decided by our buyer-eligibility checks, not by your location. You must not state or imply that purchases are available in a location where they are not, and a purchase that is refused or refunded for location or tax reasons does not create a payable commission.
Independent promoter
You promote SpotMyPixel independently. You have no authority to negotiate prices, conclude contracts, open local offices, appoint sub-agents, or otherwise bind the operator. You must not represent that you are an employee, branch, or authorised contracting agent of SpotMyPixel.
The program
Affiliates may earn a commission on direct purchases attributed to their referral link or code. There is no multi-level, recruitment, or residual commission on other affiliates. Commission is not an investment return, salary, or guaranteed income. We do not promise any level of traffic, conversion, or earnings.
Referral link and code
As soon as you complete registration we issue a referral code and a link in the form /?ref=YOURCODE. Attribution uses that code on a verified paid order. Optional device storage of the code is described in the Cookie Policy. If a visitor rejects optional affiliate attribution, they can still buy; you may not receive credit unless they enter your code at checkout.
Commission basis
Commission is calculated on the verified paid order amount excluding any VAT, GST or sales tax collected (integer cents), using the server-configured rate in basis points. The current default configuration is 1,000 basis points (10%). The live rate shown in the affiliate dashboard and at /api/affiliate/program is authoritative if the operator changes configuration. Commission applies only to attributed paid orders that remain geographically eligible. Unpaid checkouts, self-referrals, and purchases later refused or refunded for location ineligibility do not create a payable commission. We may suspend commission earning if you breach these terms or no longer meet the eligibility conditions.
Hold, approval, refunds, and chargebacks
New commissions start as pending. The current default hold is 14 days, and manual operator approval is still required before funds are available to request. Refunds, chargebacks, or disputes can reverse commission; a partial refund reduces the commission in proportion. If commission was already included in a paid payout, a ledger adjustment may be recorded; we do not automatically claw funds back from your bank.
Payouts
You may request a payout from the dashboard when your approved, unlocked balance meets the threshold. The current default threshold is 5,000 cents (50.00 in the configured currency, typically USD). Commission is not paid automatically when a referred customer purchases. Commissions start as pending, may require approval, and are paid only after you request a payout or an operator selects commissions for transfer. When Stripe Connect is enabled, payouts require Stripe-hosted onboarding. We email you a link to your dashboard when your approved commission reaches the payout threshold (with at most one reminder); you can also start setup from your dashboard at any time, and stop and continue later. No payout is sent until Stripe reports your account ready. Stripe processes affiliate identity, KYC, and payout details through Stripe-hosted flows and the Stripe Dashboard. SpotMyPixel receives limited account and status information and does not store your bank or card details. Approved commissions are transferred to your Stripe connected account; Stripe then pays those funds to your bank according to Stripe’s payout mechanics. You are responsible for any taxes on commissions. Stripe Transfers are a payment rail and do not replace invoices that applicable accounting rules may require. Self-billing is not in effect unless a confirmed written arrangement exists.
These payout mechanics describe the software as implemented. They are not tax, regulatory, or banking advice.
Advertising standards and disclosures
- Make only accurate, substantiated claims about SpotMyPixel. Do not describe placements as investments, property, NFTs, or anything offering income, resale value or returns, and do not promise traffic or results.
- Clearly and conspicuously disclose your commission relationship wherever you promote SpotMyPixel. When promoting to consumers in the United States you must comply with the US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255), including placing the disclosure close to the recommendation in plain language. When promoting to consumers in the EU or UK you must comply with applicable consumer-protection and advertising rules, including the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive and national rules on identifying advertising.
- Do not send unsolicited commercial email, SMS or messages, and comply with applicable marketing-consent and anti-spam laws (for example the EU ePrivacy rules and GDPR, the UK PECR and the US CAN-SPAM Act).
- Do not impersonate SpotMyPixel, create sites or accounts that could be mistaken for ours, or present yourself as our employee, agent, branch or representative.
- Do not use cookie stuffing, forced clicks, hidden iframes or tracking that requires consent you have not obtained. SpotMyPixel itself only stores referral attribution with the visitor's optional consent.
We may review your promotional material, require changes, withhold commission on orders generated in breach of this section, and suspend or terminate your participation.
VAT on commissions
Your commissions are consideration for services you supply to SpotMyPixel. If you join as an individual who is not acting in a business capacity, you are responsible for declaring commission income under your own country's rules. If you are a business established outside Cyprus (in the EU or elsewhere), SpotMyPixel generally accounts for VAT on your services under the reverse-charge mechanism and your invoice should state "Reverse charge". If you are established in Cyprus, Cyprus domestic VAT rules apply. You remain responsible for your own tax registrations and returns. Whether any reporting obligation (for example under DAC7) applies to the programme is under review; we will inform you if we need further information.
You do not need to send an invoice to join the programme or to receive your referral link. If you join as a company, we may ask you for an invoice for a payout where accounting rules require one. If you join as an individual, we can provide an earnings statement for a payout on request; it records the commission paid and is not a VAT or tax invoice. We do not issue invoices in your name (self-billing) unless we have agreed this with you in writing.
Prohibited conduct
- Self-referral, fictitious orders, or other fraud
- Misleading advertising, including investment, income, or ROI guarantees
- Using SpotMyPixel marks in a way we reasonably consider abusive
- Cookie stuffing, forced redirects, or malware
- Account sharing or abuse of magic-link login
Self-referral is prohibited and is blocked when the purchaser email matches the affiliate email. We may disable accounts, withhold or reverse commissions, and refuse payouts where we reasonably suspect abuse.
No buyer personal data
Affiliates do not receive purchaser names, emails, payment-card data, or other buyer personal data from SpotMyPixel. Dashboard figures are limited to dates, purchase amounts, commission status for attributed orders, and aggregate counts of visits through your referral link.
Termination
You or SpotMyPixel may end program participation. We may disable an affiliate account. Pending or approved commissions remain subject to reversal for refunds, chargebacks, or policy violations.
